mnh: BOOKSHELF – Alive Magazine Issue #488 – ‘Men’s Health’
Alive Magazine Men’s Health issue in hand, as I walk through the forests of Ontario, I notice the flourishing plants, mushrooms and animals. The turkey tail mushrooms growing on the side of logs. I take my afternoon forest bathing to re calibrate my mind before getting back to the grind. This is a daily routine for me, and a must when a majority of my current work life is spent behind a computer screen. Without this re connection with nature, my eyes might pop out of their socket and my brain might turn into a robot – this re calibration is a pivotal daily routine.
NATURAL INDUSTRY
Fortunately, this time I am geared up with the latest issue of Alive magazine, all on Men’s Health. The beauty of the natural space, is there is always opportunity for new learning’s and growth from the writers, editors and companies that work their butts off to help bring these products to market. I was fortunate to work for an amazing brand for many years, the process is beyond belief to get a product on the shelf; be grateful.
Most people take for granted and expect all of these global herbs to be there for them at their easiest convenience. They might think, ‘oh it’s another company trying to make a buck’. Sure, economics is involved, however, a former business mentor told me, ‘the beauty about the natural space is that it is a hugging industry not a handshake deal industry.’
Compassion, heart and integrity is at the core of nearly every company helping to keep your body aligned, combined with your own effort.
Never forget, no supplement is going to solve that misalignment completely, they are there to support – DAILY ROUTINE consistency and working with practitioners (HERE) will help support your health and well-being goals.

Our good buddy who’s getting married in a couple months asked our group the other night ‘Do you boys have any good recipes?’. It was a refreshing question, and our entire group didn’t know how to respond – we’re in our mid 30’s now, so maybe we have just hit that point.

2. Where can I pick up an issue? HERE is a list of all of the retailers. By the way it is FREE – stay in the store for a couple minutes, man – ask the unbelievably helpful staff of all of these stores those questions you have but are too afraid to ask. They won’t judge, and are more than willing to help. Don’t forget to say thank you, the questions they answer on a daily basis, would be beyond your belief.
3. Who is one of the biggest beauties at Alive? Bruce Cole. He has been in the game for years, and an absolute wealth of knowledge.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
It is refreshing to have an entire issue dedicated to Men. I had a couple of female’s come up to me and say, DUDE FOOD! ‘Have you seen the latest issue of Alive?’. Historically, Alive has a higher female readership (Alive magazine is very well known for their amazing recipes and a large focus on female health).
FYI GUYS: Ladies have a lot more going on in their body, and with their body, daily, monthly, weekly, yearly, hourly – so this makes sense.
Therefore, it’s important for every guy, I would say starting at around 17 to start understanding. We’re going to simplify it for you here – it’s called the ‘menstrual cycle’ or ‘moon cycle’ WATCH THIS 2 MINUTE VIDEO, IT EXPLAINS A LOT!.
Above all, you can help prevent yourself from challenges with a better understanding, while also learning how to show compassion for your female partner (these guys below learned more in 2 minutes then they did in grade 9 French).
